Good people doing good things

Brides for a Cause is more than a bridal store – it’s a bridal store to raise funds for charity!

Originally founded in 2012, Brides for a Cause gained its 501(c)3 non profit status in 2017. Funds raised from collecting and reselling wedding dresses are dispersed among a variety of women-focused charities in a new fundraising campaign, “Cash for the Cause!”  Since 2012, Brides for a Cause has collected over 9,000 wedding dresses and have given away over $500,000 to charity!

This non-profit based out of Portland OR sends care packages to women fighting cancer, and help them feel strong, badass and beautiful in trying times. The pink fighting gloves are the crux of Fighting Pretty's mantra: to fight no matter what the circumstances. Owner Kara has won her battle at 26 years old, and since passed the gloves on to countless women and has sent over 2,500 Pretty Packages. There is no reason to stop.

All the dogs are located in approved foster homes around the Portland metro area. BAPBR does not have a physical building and does not have set hours of operation.

BAPBR strives to save lives by keeping dogs out of local shelters through spay-neuter assistance, owner-support programs, and adoptions.
